2019 Hajj: Kaduna completes airlift of 3,544 pilgrims

The return airlift of 3,544 pilgrims that performed the 2019 hajj from Kaduna State has been completed on Saturday.
The last batch of Kaduna State Pilgrims that performed this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia returned home Saturday, signifying the end of the airlift from Saudi Arabia.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Yunusa Muhammad Abdullahi said last batch of 390 pilgrims arrived Kaduna at exactly 1:01 Saturday, on board Fly Nas Airline.
Only one pilgrim was recorded dead in Makkah among the state pilgrims that performed the hajj. among which one died in Makkah.
The Director General, Bureau of Interfaith, Sheikh Jamilu Abubakar Albani, Overseer of the Board, Imam Hussaini Sulaiman Tsoho Ikara and other government appointed officials were all on board the last flight, the statement said.
Two airlines, Med-View and Fly Nas transported Kaduna State pilgrims this year. During the returned journey, Max air transported 2,710 pilgrims while Fly Nas transported 834.
The statement also said that the leader of the State Appointed Officials, Director General of Bureau of Interfaith, Sheikh Jamilu Abubakar Albani thanked all the appointed officials, stakeholders and staff of the pilgrims’ board for ensuring a successful Hajj this year.
