2022 HAJJ: FCT Begins Inoculation, Initiate strategies for better service delivery

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja has initiated strategies to retain its position as the overall best among the states of the federation in the hajj industry.

 

 

The Director of the Board, Mallam Muhammad Nasiu Danmallam who unveiled the strategies at a meeting with members of staff of the Board said the measure is aimed at ensuring success in this year’s Hajj operation.

 

 

Mallam Muhammad Nasiru Danmallam stated that though the Hajj is taking place after covid 19 pandemic, the Board would not relent in its effort to provide the best services to its intending pilgrims in line with the desire of the present FCT Administration.

 

 

The Director explained that with the status of the FCT, all hands must be on deck to ensure that Intending Pilgrims who perform Hajj through the Board get value for their money by attaining acceptable hajj.

 

 

The Director called on the staff to be prudent in discharging their duties and warned them against any act capable of tarnishing the image of the Administration and the country at large.

He added that the Minister of State of the Federal capital Territory, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu who supervises the activities of the Board has endorsed the accommodation facility secured for this year’s intending pilgrims in Makkah, kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

 

The Director disclosed that Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu was so delighted on inspecting the accommodation secured for the intending pilgrims which would enable them perform their five obligatory prayers with ease.

 

 

He re-echoed the commitment of the FCT Minister of state to support the Board in all its activities to ensure hitch free hajj exercise this year.

 

Meanwhile the Board is to carryout vaccination exercise of this year’s intending pilgrims from Saturday 4/06/2022 with Intending Pilgrims from Bwari, Abaji and Abuja Municipal Area Councils.

 

A statement from the Board revealed that Intending Pilgrims from Gwagwalada, Kuje and Kwali area councils as well as those who paid through the Hajj Savings Scheme would be inoculated on Sunday 5/06/2022.

 

The exercise that would take place at the permanent Hajj Transits camp near the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja is to be rounded off on Monday 6/06/2022 with Intending Pilgrims who registered through the Headquarters.
