2022 Hajj: NAHCON Allocate 684 Seats To Nasarawa State

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria under leadership of Barr Zikirullah Hassan has allocated 684 hajj slots for this year’s hajj exercise for Nasarawa State.

 

The Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura announced this in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the board and made available to newsmen in Lafia.

 

Mallam Idris Almakura who is currently in Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj, noted that available information indicates that the 2022 hajj fare may likely hit 2,565,265.84 million due to current realities and dollar exchange rate.

 

The statement therefore advise all prospective 2022 intending pilgrims from Nasarawa State to complete their earlier deposit to 2,565265.84 million while they await the announcement of this year’s final hajj fare from NAHCON.

 

Mallam Almakura reiterated that the board will adopt first come first serve policy in the interest of Justice and fairness and further advice intending to pay more money to equal their deposit to the projected amount before official announcement of Hajj fare.

 

He affirmed that pilgrims above 65 years old will not partakes in this year’s hajj adding that Covid-19 precautionary measures will be strictly adhere to and  tasked intending pilgrims to be attending enlightenment and orientation exercise currently going-on across the local governments and development areas of Nasarawa State, noting that the board will ensure proper monitoring of the exercise.
