2022 HAJJ: SOKOTO PILGRIM’S AGENCY INAUGURATES ISLAMIC PREACHERS COMMITTEE

Alhaji Mukhtar Bello Maigona, Chairman Sokoto State Pilgrim’s Welfare Agency (PWA) on Wednesday inaugurated Islamic preachers committee in the state for 2022 Hajj exercise.

Speaking while inaugurating the committee, Maigona described scholars as key stakeholders to the hajj exercise considering their role in educating pilgrims how to perform hajj worship (one of the pillars of Islam)

Maigona urged them to maximize their efforts in educating pilgrims throughout the exercise,

The Permanent Secretary of the Agency, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Dange appreciated the continued effort and contribution of Islamic scholars in the activities of the agency.

Dange appealed to them to redouble their efforts to ensure the successful conduct of this year’s Hajj exercise.

The committees of the scholars are expected to embark on preaching tour to 23 local government areas of the state on Saturday June 11, 2022.
