2023 Hajj: 33,818 Nigerian pilgrims airlifted to Saudi Arabia so far – NAHCON

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has said that  33,818 intending pilgrims from Nigeria have so far been airlifted to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj.

NAHCON ‘s Madinah Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris made the disclosure at a press conference, held at the commission’s office in Madina on Thursday.

He also stated that 10,386, out of the 33, 818 pilgrims that arrived Madina had been moved to Makkah as part of the preparations for the Hajj exercise.

He  said the pilgrims in Madina are performing their acts of worship peacefully, adding that the medical team are working assiduously to treat pilgrims with some illnesses.

“The only challenge is an issue of accommodation and feeding which has already been resolved,” he said.

The coordinator also stated that no death has been recorded so far in Madina.
