2023 Hajj: Izala commends NAHCON for smooth airlift of pilgrims

The National body of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa Iqamati-s-Sunnah in Nigeria has commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON for what he described as successful and smooth 2023 Hajj operation so far.

 

The National Chairman of the organization, Shaykh Abdullahi Bala Lau stated this at a meeting convened by #NAHCON on the formation and inauguration of the Ulama Committee for this year’s Hajj.

 

Shaykh Bala Lau, who commended the successes and smooth operation of this year’s outward journey for the religious exercise so far, also expressed satisfaction with measures taken by NAHCON to correct all observed lapses of last year’s operation, saying, though each year comes with its own challenges.

 

The Islamic scholar called on Nigerian #pilgrims to be law abiding and respect all rules and regulations while in the holy land, as they are the mirror of Nigeria to the outside world.

He reiterated the call on pilgrims to avoid unnecessary voyages and loitering while in Saudi, as according reports the weather conditions are going to be quite unfriendly during the Hajj exercise.

 

Shaykh Bala Lau said on their part, the Ulama will do their utmost best to see that Nigerian pilgrims performed the Hajj rites according to the dictates and teachings of the noble Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

 

He also enjoined Muslims both at home and while in the holy land to fervently pray for peace, unity and progress of Nigeria, while also praying that Allah guide aright our new leaders both at the upper and lower levels and to see them through all challenges that would be cog in the wheels of getting Nigeria out of her present precarious situation.

 

He also observed that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, is a veritable platform that could unite the various Islamic sets in the country to act and speak with one voice in all socioeconomic and political affairs of Nigeria as they are affect the Muslim Ummah in particular, nay Nigerians in general.

 

He noted that the convergence of the Ulama under one umbrella, which is NAHCON, inspite of their differences, shows that NAHCON can be a unifying and rallying point for the Muslim Ummah in view of the fact that all sects were united on the aspect of Hajj, saying with dexterity, NAHCON, will bridge, eliminate, or reduce to the barest minimum the differences that divide the sects.
