23,000 Jordanian pilgrims have performed the Lesser hajj since the beginning of the Umrah season which commence in august . The head of the religious tourism committee at the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents Belal Rubin was quoted by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, as saying on Tuesday.
According to Rubin, citizens’ demand to perform Umrah over the past two months was “good and growing”, especially after the easing of travel procedures and requirements between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and providing Umrah trips at affordable prices.
Rubin stressed that traveling is simple and smooth, and there are no restrictions, especially now that coronavirus tests are not required anymore, , adding that pilgrims are only required to have the meningitis vaccine, which is provided free of charge by the Ministry of Health.
