60 Handicapped from UAE Al Thiqa’s Club depart for Umrah

A delegation of 60 male and female affiliates from Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped in Sharjah left for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah under the auspices of the Sharjah Charity International and the Sharjah Charity House.

The initiative is part of the Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped ‘s cooperation with charitable institutions in Sharjah within the club’s programmes, aiming to develop the religious faith of its members.

Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqa Club for Handicapped, said that the club’s management seeks to develop all sports, cultural and social aspects of the club’s members, and that the idea of this Umrah came to develop the religious faith of the members by visiting the holy places, ridding them of isolation, and integrating them into society. He thanked and appreciated everyone who contributed to this initiative, which has a great psychological impact on people with disabilities.
