Bauchi Pilgrims Board commends Hajj Reporters for effective coverage

The acting Executive Secretary of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mal. Alkasim Dallami has commended INDEPENDENT HAJJ REPORTERS for effective coverage of Hajj activities over the years.

Alhaji Alkassim gave the commendation Thursday when he received a team of IHR editors in his office in Makkah.

“I have been following your work since 2017 when I transferred to the board and you have been adequately informing our people about Hajj

“In fact, even if a pilgrim vomits in Saudi you will see it instantly in Bauchi. People are well informed about whatever is going on here”

“We really appreciate you and I will personally continue to pray for you,” he said.

The National Coordinator of IHR, Ibrahim Mohammed, who led the team informed the E. S. that they were in his office on a familiarity visit since he is just assuming office as acting Executive Secretary of the board.

Mr Mohammed also assured the Bauchi pilgrims boss of continued support and cooperation.

“ Our major task as journalists is not just to report but to make sure that things are going as planned and that officials are adequately informed of all happenings so that they can take good decision for the benefit of pilgrims,” he said.

Alhaji Alkassim also granted an exclusive interview to IHR in which he spoke about the great success of this year’s Hajj.
He said the state governor, Bala Abdulkadir and his deputy have been up and doing which has led to the success recorded so far.
“ The support from the governor has been simply remarkable. He gave us everything we wanted.

“ The deputy governor, who is leading the team to this year’s Hajj has also ensured everything that needs to be done is done. We can only thank them for providing us with quality and supportive leadership,” he said.
