The Acting Executive Secretary of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Alkassim Danlami Shall has commended the media for the effective coverage of Hajj operations in the State.
Alhaji Shall gave the commendation on Monday in his office while briefing journalists on the level of preparations of 2019 hajj operation in the state.
He said the media is playing a pivotal role in educating, sensitizing the general public and the intending pilgrims on Hajj Operations.
“I must commend the management of media organisations for their doggedness in information dissemination, educating and enlightening the Public and intending pilgrims on hajj rites, Social aspect of Hajj activities,” he said
Shall urged the media to continue with the effective coverage.
The Ag. Executive Secretary reaffirmed the determination of the state government towards providing needed welfare to state pilgrims from Bauchi Hajj Camp to the holy land.
He also lauded the commitment of Governor Bala Muhammad who approved subsidy that makes this year’s hajj fare affordable.
He, however, charged the intending pilgrims to be ambassadors of the state and the country, noting that a holy land is a place of worship not for immoral acts.
