Gov. Lalong, dissolves Chairman, members of Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Board

Governor Simon Lalong, has approved the dissolution of the board of Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Board, with effect from last, Tuesday midnight.

The Governor in a press release signed by acting Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Richard Tokma, said the dissolution goes along side with his cabinet and all appointed aids.

“The dissolution also affects, chairmen and members of Commissions, Boards and Parastatals, except statutory commissions specified in the constitution,” it said.

However, Hajj Reporters, gathered that the Executive Secretary of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Barr. Auwal Abdullahi, and other officials are already in Saudi Arabia, on official duties of the board, preparing for the 2019 pilgrimage.

Barr. Auwal Abdullahi, has within the short period of his official engagements, put up policies and reforms that earned the Board the confidence of the People and even the executive Governor of the State.
