BREAKING: INSECURITY: Airlift of Kaduna, Jigawa Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia Relocated to Kano.

Airlift of intending pilgrims from Kaduna and Jigawa states for the 2022 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia has been relocated to Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.

 

National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON), Zonal coordinator, Kano zone, Alh. Lawal Ahmed Katsina gave the indication at a stakeholders meeting on Wednesday in Kano.

 

Alh. Lawal who explained that the emergency decision become pertinent considering the security situation in Kaduna state noting that safety of pilgrims would not be compromised.

 

The NAHCON zonal coordinator revealed that arrangements have been concluded for hitch free airlift of intending pilgrims. He added that both Kaduna and Jigawa boards are being duly briefed on the emergency decision.

 

Meanwhile, the first batch of intending pilgrims from Kaduna that are scheduled to depart Nigeria on Tuesday 14th, June 2022 on Azman air has been shifted.

 

Kaduna state has 2,491 intending pilgrims, the highest allocation the 2022 Hajj exercise.
