Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman on Saturday urged Muslims to seek knowledge that will guide them on the 2019 pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
He gave the advice during the launching of a book on Hajj published in Fulani and Hausa languages in Bauchi.
Sulaiman represented by a traditional title holder, Alhaji Ishaq Ahmed Sambo said that knowledge acquired would help as a guide in performing effective and acceptable Hajj.
“If a Muslim does Hajj in the manner required by his Lord, then Allah has promised to forgive him his sins and admit him to paradise.
“On condition that he does not spoil this action by committing any major crime that would invalidate it and earn the anger of Allah.,” He said
The monarch said that knowledge acquired would successfully provide the needed requirement of pilgrimage.
He explained that Islam as a religion had covered all aspects of life, hence the need for all Muslims to search for knowledge that would help them to carry out activities according to the Islamic injunctions.
The Chairman of the Book Lunch, Alhaji Bello Mohammed Kirfi commended the author of the book for taking time to simplify knowledge on pilgrimage.
He said the book would impact positively on the pilgrims, explaining that “So long as a person can understand what is obligatory for him to do what is required of him then he is alright, ”
According to him, “Qur’an has taught us everything on what should be done to benefit the entire humanity.
“Therefore, we need to seek for knowledge to know these things which will be helpful to us or guide us in the right direction.
Earlier the Publisher, Ustaz Harun Musa, explained that the book was published in two components of knowledge and faith.
“The first components of the book dwell on the need to acquire knowledge before going to pilgrimage and the other components were faith,” he said
Musa noted that the decision to inform in publishing the books was to correct mistakes of Fulani brothers, who are ignorant of pilgrimage and get the opportunity.
