Exclusive: Saudi Hajj Ministry begins issuance of Umrah Visa to Nigerian Pilgrims

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj has approved the issuance of Umrah Visa to intending pilgrims from Nigeria.

The approval signals the acceptance and the commencement of registration of Umrah pilgrims by Nigerian Private Hajj and Umrah Operators.

A sample of the first umrah visa after Covid 19 which was sent to Hajj Reporters was issued to the Chairman of Earth Travel & Tours Ltd, Nazir Rabiu Gambo.

Speaking to HAJJ REPORTERS Nazir Rabiu Gambo confirmed the authenticity of the visa and said it was duly approved by the Saudi Consulate in Kano with visa no 6072351265.

The Umrah Visa has a validity period of 30 days.

The MD OF AL Khausa travels, Haiya Rabi also confirmed the development to HAJJ REPORTERS. She however, said that such visa is approved via a Company approved by Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

” Each company must have a minimum of 50 pilgrims and they must be in group,” she said.

A total of 1,157 Umrah Visa has so far been issued to pilgrims outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after the commencement of the third phase of Umrah; information sourced from Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Visa portal and posted on Hajj Reporters reveals.

Indonesia has the highest with 943 Umrah Visa followed by Pakistan with 207 Visa. India and Emirates got 2 while Egypt, Malaysia, and Kuwait got one visa each.
