First Batch of Nigerian Umrah Pilgrims undergoes Covid-19 test in Saudi Arabia

The first batch of Umrah Pilgrims from Nigeria who are currently in Madina has undergone Covid-19 test after their 3 days quarantine.

 

The tests were conducted to ascertain their Covid-19 status after the 3 days mandatory quarantine in Madinah.

 

However, out of 75 samples collected, 3 tested positive and are set to undergo a second round of test today for final confirmation.

 

A travel agent who is currently with the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia told HAJJ REPORTERS that “ the second test will be done today and if they are confirmed positive, then they will be made to undergo another 10 days quarantine and another test will be done before they can proceed with their Umrah”

 

The remaining 72 pilgrims are set to proceed to Makkah in two days time after they might have completed their Ziyara in Madinah.
