Gombe Refunds N495 Million to Hajj 2020/2021 Intending Pilgrims

Gombe State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board (GSMPWB) said “it has successfully refunded the sum of N495,174,000 to 332 Hajj 2020/2021 intending pilgrims who applied for the refunds of their deposit as at 22nd of September 2021.

 

This was contained in press statement signed today by Head of Media of the Board Hauwa Mohammed and made available to newsmen in Gombe

 

It could be recalled that the Saudi authority has cancelled the Hajj, following the outbreak of Covid-19 around the world. The statement added that “The Hajj deposit refunds are still in progress for those who wish to collect their deposits.

“The board wishes to call on Intending Pilgrims from the State wishing to make Hajj deposit for 2022 Hajj exercise to exercise patience as  the Board is still awaiting for  further guidelines and directives from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

 

The Executive secretary of the Board, Alh. Sa’adu Hassan Adamu extends his gratitude to the Gombe State Government under the able  Leadership of His Excellency, Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahya   for all the supports the board enjoys from the state Government.

 

The Executive Secretary  urges State Intending Pilgrims who rolled over their Hajj deposits to Hajj 2022 exercise  to  continue  to pray the to the Almighty Allah to ease the Covid-19 pandemic to enable the Muslim Ummah across the globe to perform the Hajj rites as usual.
