Gov Abdullahi Bid Farewell To Nasarawa State Hajj Pilgrims

Governor Abdullahi Sule has urged intending Pilgrims from Nasarawa state to be good ambassadors and desist from any act capable of tarnishing their image.

 

The Governor made this known during the farewell ceremony of the 2019 intending Pilgrims in Lafia.

 

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Aliyu Ahmad, Governor Sule explained that government has put adequate measures in place in the areas of healthcare, feeding, and accommodation to improve their welfare in the holy land.

 

While appealing to intending Pilgrims do not carry any prohibited teams to Saudi Arabia,  Governor Abdullahi Sule urged intending Pilgrims to pray for peace and unity of Nasarawa state and Nigeria at Large.

 

In his welcome address, The Executive Secretary Nasarawa state Pilgrims Board, Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura commended the state government for the support accorded to the during its 2019 hajj preparation.

 

Earlier, leader of the Amirul Hajj Team and Emir of Lafia, Hon. Justice Sidi Dauda Bage retires, assured the state government that the team would discharge its duty diligently.

 

As at the time of filing in this report, vehicles provided by the board were seen conveying Pilgrims to the Hajj Camp in Abuja  ahead of their departure to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia slate for Sunday
