Bauchi Governor Bala approves N2.4 Million yo each Government Sponsored Intending Pilgrim who missed 2022 Hajj

The Governor of Bauchi state, Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad has “graciously out of his kindness approved the refund of Two Million Four Hundred and Fourty Thousand Naira ( N2,440,000) each to all Government sponsored pilgrim who couldn’t perform the 2022 Hajj”.

 

The Executive Secretary of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris revealed this on Thursday in his office, while briefing the press on preparations for refund of N50,000 to all Bauchi state pilgrims who performed 2022 Hajj excercise.

 

Imam Idris stated that the Board has fixed Monday 12th September, 2022 for the commencement of the refund to all pilgrims who paid up to N2.5 Million as Hajj fare and performed the 2022 pilgrimage.

 

He said the reduction was secured from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) at the commencement of the 2022 Hajj operations.

 

The E. S. further expressed the readiness of the Board to visit all the Hajj paypoints ( 20 LGCs and the Headquarters) for payment of the refund, stressing that it is a deliberate effort to ease the cost of travelling to headquarters by the pilgrims.

 

He also noted that the Board will commence the payment of all 2022 Hajj deposit of those who could nit travel, emphasizing that all pilgrims are at liberty to either apply for a refund or roll it over to 2023 Hajj operations.

 

“To those willing to perform the 2023 Hajj operation, the door is open for them to leave their deposit for automatic switch over to 2023 Hajj ” he said.

 

Imam Idris said what is needed for the refund of N50,000 is E-passport and original receipt for the payment of deposit, while for the refund of Hajj deposit is an application by attaching the original payment receipt of deposit or endorsed data page issued for Government sponsored pilgrims.
