Grand Mosque’s Squares Department sweating in the service of Pilgrims

Director of the Squares Department at the Grand Mosque, Ahmed Al-Maqati, revealed that more than 136 employees are working to serve the Grand Mosque and its visitors, and they watch the entrances and exits and prepare the corridors for the worshipers and Umrah performers, in addition to following up iftar (breaking-fast) meals, in cooperation with the security sectors. Jabal Al-Kaaba area was chosen as a gathering point for the distribution of charitable food in the squares of King Abdullah expansion in accordance with health controls, precautionary measures and preventive measures.

 

Al-Maqati said that the tasks of Squares Department at the Grand Mosque include following up the provision of charitable food and the entrances and exits of the squares, preventing the entry of luggage, unauthorized food, selling and buying, and following up civil and construction works and maintenance work.

 

He added that there are prohibited things that should not pass through the squares of the Grand Mosque, which include foods in large quantities, large bags, cameras for the purpose of photography without permission, and the passage of goods and supplies for shops.
