Hajj 2017: Kaduna to axe intending pilgrims who skip enlightenment programme

Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has said it is ready to exclude names of intending pilgrims who fails to attend hajj enlightenment program from performing this year’s hajj exercise.
Director General, Bureau of Interfaith,  Engineer Namadi Musa made the remarks while addressing intending pilgrims at the week end.
A statement by the PRO of the board, Yunusa Muhammad Abdullahi said the state government would soon exclude names of absantee intending pilgrims in this year’s hajj list.

The statement quoted Engineer  Musa explaining that the hajj enlightenment program is aimed at teaching intending pilgrims on how to perform hajj exercise according to the teachings of the Qur’an and the practices of Prophet Muhammad.

He lamented on how intending pilgrims  paid millions of naira to go to hajj without knowing the basics of hajj exercise and also not ready to learn.

Engineer  Musa also urged the intending pilgrims to acquire Islamic knowledge which according to him, is the only guarantee that a pilgrims hajj rites would be accepted.

He equally  commended the Islamic scholars for their efforts and determination towards educating the intending pilgrims.

He visited intending pilgrims enlightenment centres at zone I & II to ascertain the level of participation of intending pilgrims attending the weekly enlightenment program.
