Hajj 2019: Bangladesh approves $1,000 BTA for pilgrims
The next Hajj could take place on August 10, depending on the moon sighting
A Hajj pilgrim may carry up to US $1,000—or equivalent currencies—while performing the next pilgrimage, according to a Bangladesh Bank circular.
This amount is outside of the overall expenses estimated by the ministry concerned for performing the next pilgrimage—known as Hajj—according to the circular issued Thursday by the central bank.
The next Hajj could take place on August 10 depending on the moon sighting of the Arabic month.
A total of 127,198 Bangladeshis will go Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year; including 7,198 under government management.
