Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdukadir Muhammad, Kauran Bauchi, has given each pilgrim from the state SR300, equivalent to Thirty Thousand Naira (N30,000) as Hajj incentive.
The Ag. Executive Secretary of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfre Board Mal. Alkasim Danllami Shall disclosed this in an interview with newsmen while inspecting the disbursement of the fund in Makkah.
A statement from the spokesperson of the board, Muhammad Sani Yunusa on Saturday in Makkah quoted Mal. Shall as saying “the additional gift by His Excellency the Governor of Bauchi State is to assist the pilgrims to intensify supplications and other ibadat in the holy land after completing the hajj rites”.
The secretary cautioned the pilgrims not to over spend the fund as Bauchi is still awaiting for it’s return schedule from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He urged the pilgrims to reciprocate the gesture by continuing to pray for Governor Bala Abdukadir and for peace and socio-economic development of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
In a separate interview at the venue, the beneficiaries Ahmad Ahmad Sallau from Bauchi Local Government and khadija Musa, a kirfi local Government pilgrim appreciated the Governor’s interest towards ensuring that the welfare of the pilgrims is fully taken care off right from the transit camp in Bauchi to Saudi Arabia.
