Hajj 2019: Ganduje Donates N5000 to each Kano pilgrim

Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has sent a gift of N5,000  each to the 3,170 Kano citizens who have performed Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

The Executive Secretary of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Muhammad Abba Dambatta, announced this on Wednesday evening in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Malam Abba Dambatta told the pilgrims that they will receive the cash gift from their various center officers.

He explained that the gift was a token from the governor in expectation of prayers from the pilgrims.

Malam Abba Danbatta also cautioned the pilgrims against boarding planes with banned items.

One of the beneficiaries, Ibrahim Ayyuba, expressed appreciation to Governor Ganduje for the gesture and commended state Pilgrims Welfare Board for the provision of a suitable accommodation, delicious meals and high class transportation system to various sacred sites in both Mecca and Madina.

The pilgrims are awaiting their return journey to Nigeria having completed the Hajj rituals.
