The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud for his passion, commitment and personal supervision of this year’s Hajj exercise to ensure that the guests of Allah get the best treatment and care possible.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Hajj Commission, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad made the commendation at a meeting Sunday night in Makkah, with Mutawwif (Pilgrims attendants) for non Arabic speaking African Countries.

Barrister Mukhtar also hailed the efforts and sacrifices of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and all Saudi field offices and officials for their tremendous contributions to the heartwarming successes of this year’s Hajj exercise.

The chairman however, appealed to the Saudi authorities concerned, particularly the Mu’assasah to provide more conveniences at Mashaa’ir (religious sites) areas of Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah to ease congestion and ensure comfort to the Pilgrims during the annual religious exercise.

He commended the Saudis for the provision of functional air-conditioning systems that worked nonstop, until the downpour that lasted for over fifty minutes on Arafat day forced the energy company to cut off power supply to avoid accidental electrocution of Pilgrims who might unwittingly come into contact with metal objects carrying electrical currents.

In their contributions at the meeting Nigerian Private Tour Operators, expressed satisfaction with the conduct and provisions made that ensured a huge success for this year’s Hajj operation.

They expressed hope that efforts would be intensified to maintain the success in future operations, so as to ensure growth from strength to strength.

Responding the the Mutawwif establishment promised not to relent in their efforts to ensure comfort to all pilgrims in general.
