Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the collection of 2020 hajj fare deposits from intending pilgrims in the state. Intending pilgrims are to pay 1.5M in three instalments.
The Ag. Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board Mal. Alkasim Dallami Shall made the statement while briefing the press on preparation for 2020 Hajj operation in Bauchi State.
Mal. Alkasim said the exercise will commence today Friday 15th November 2019 at the headquarters of all the 20 local government areas of the state and the Board’s head office.
He stressed that intending pilgrims are to deposit a minimum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000) as instalment payments and by the end of March 2020 their deposits are expected to reach at least N1.5M
Alkasim further maintained that the sale of this year hajj seat is strictly on first come first serve basis, adding that the Board received 2050 hajj slots as against 3090 slots last year.
He therefore called on all those willing to go for this year hajj pilgrimage to collect bank tellers from their respective local government areas and Board headquarters for those residing in Bauchi for onward payment of their deposits in the bank, as this will give the National Hajj Commission NAHCON enough time to complete preparation for a hitch-free exercise.
