Hajj 2020: Bauchi retains standard accommodation for pilgrims – Hon Babayo

Bauchi state government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for ensuring quality services, comfort and satisfaction of pilgrims.

The Special Adviser on pilgrims Affairs Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde disclosed this in his office while briefing press on their recent official visit to Saudi Arabia, which aimed at to achieve success in the management of the 2020 hajj operation.
Babayo Tilde said the MOU was in line with the agreement reached between the Nigerian embassy and Saudi Arabia, recently held at the Ministry of Hajj and Umra, Makka, Saudi Arabia.

He said According to the agreement, coordination of feeding and accommodating of Nigerian pilgrims during their stay in Madina is sole responsibility of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), while state are to coordinate feeding and accommodation arrangements to their pilgrims in Makka.

Babayo Tilde stressed a planned by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Administration to retain a recent Bauchi State accommodation in Makka, which was strategically located along Al-Hijrah street, very closed to the Haram, aimed at to accommodate our pilgrims in one point for their comfort.

He also emphasized the effort by this administration to give all the necessary support for the smooth conduct of 2020 hajj operation and therefore called on the general public to pray for the present administration to succeed on it’s good policies and programmes.

Hon. Babayo pointed out that a highlight of the agreement-signing ceremony conducted in Saudi Arabia was a special prayer offered to Governor Bala Abdulkadir of Bauchi State, appreciating his outstanding contributions to the National Hajj Affairs, particularly for allocating land to NAHCON when he was the  FCT Minister.
