Hajj 2020: NAHCON Inaugurate Committee to Pre-Qualify Hajj Service Providers

The national hajj commission NAHCON has Inaugurated hajj committee saddled with the responsibility of Pre-qualifying and licensing of hajj service providers to speed up the Hajj 2020 processes.

 

 

The Committee was inaugurated on Monday by NAHCON Ag. Chairman/CEO, Barr. Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad at hajj house, Abuja.

 

 

 

The Ag. Chairman while inaugurating the committee urged them to be guided by fear of God and Pilgrims’ trust to secure best services in strict adherence to standards.

 

 

The committee is headed by Muhammad Hammajoda, a Director in NAHCON and has eleven members. States pilgrim’s welfare boards are to be represented by FCT, Oyo and Zamfara State pilgrims boards Chief Executives

 

NAHCON has departed from the previous tradition of constituting such committee in Saudi Arabia and opt to inaugurate it in Nigeria with a view of making it more encompassing. The entire process is now digitalized, thereby saving cost and consolidating on transparency and prudence in efficient & effective Hajj Service delivery.

 

 

The committees are to “harness resource management and eliminate any issue of corruption and to allow States pilgrims boards to have a list of companies for inspection and contractual negotiations.

 

The committee is expected to compile a comprehensive list hajj service providers in Makkah, Madinah and holy sites Masha’er and to

to evaluate scrutinize the documents of such companies.

 

Other roles given to the committee are:

to ensure no any litigation against any state with NAHCON or Saudi Arabian Authorities.

They are to ensure that such companies have valid documents and authorization to conducts hajj related business with Nigerian Pilgrims in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
