Hajj 2020: Plateau Urge Intending Pilgrims to apply for deposit refund

The Executive Secretary, Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, PSMPWB, Barrister Auwal Abdullahi, has on Tuesday, called on the 2020 intending pilgrims, that are desirous of getting back their deposits to apply.

The board stated this in a press release issued by, Umar Namijinkulu, the Personal Assistant to Barrister Auwal Abdullahi.

He said: “Following the cancellation of this year’s Hajj (2020) by the authorities of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board under the directives of the Executive Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong,  wishes to inform the 2020 intending pilgrims who paid their Hajj deposit through the Board and are desirous of collecting back their deposit to apply through their pilgrims’ welfare officers.”

The release further said the board will, however, roll over the deposit of those who made same and are willing to perform the 2021 Hajj.

“We strongly advise those interested in the refund of their deposit to apply between the 1st and 31st of July 2020, and after which the list of roll over pilgrims shall be adopted for the 2021 Hajj which will be strictly on first come first serve basis,” ES Abdullahi said.

He added that any intending pilgrim that wishes to collect back his/her money  must apply and attached the following to their application letters, a copy of payment teller, copy of the official receipt issued by the board, and a copy of data page of intending pilgrim’s E-Passport.
