Hajj 2020: South Africa Receives 3500 Hajj Seat Quota

The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) said it has received 3500 Hajj seat quota for hajj 2020 from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

The quota was announced on Monday during the signing of hajj 2020 protocol between SAHUC and Saudi ministry of hajj and umrah in Saudi Arabia

A statement signed by SAHUC Secretary-general, Moaaz Casoo and sent to HAJJ REPORTERS said the kingdom granted additional 1000 quota for 2020 hajj.

“ At our meeting yesterday with the ministry of hajj and umrah, the quota for HAJJ 1441H/2020 has been set at 3500 (additional 1000 quota) and the ministry of hajj and umrah will consider an additional increase at the time of discussion we emphasize that the news of any additional quota reach South Africa sooner than later”.

The statement further expresses appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the government of the Republic of South Africa, the ministry of hajj and umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa for the increase.
