Hajj 2021: Bauchi commences vaccination for 2021 Hajj intending Pilgrims

The State Primary Healthcare Development Agency in collaboration with the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the vaccination exercise against COVID-19 to Bauchi Hajj 2021 intending Muslim Pilgrims.

 

Addressing the intending pilgrims before the commencement of the exercise held at the headquarters of the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, the Executive Chairman of the agency Dr Rilwanu Muhammad said all intending pilgrims are expected to be administered the first and second dose of the vaccination before their departure to the holy land.

Dr Muhammad who said the agency has concluded the necessary arrangements for the exercise, called on the intending pilgrims to come out for the exercise according to their scheduled dates.

 

Also speaking after taking his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, the Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Abubakar Babangida Tafida, Tafidan Giade appreciated the turn out during the flagging off of the exercise, adding that Friday 2 and Saturday 3 has been scheduled for the officials of the Board, those who registered with the Board headquarters as well as those from Bauchi Local Government Area.

 

Babangida explained that all intending pilgrims are to come along with their hajj payment receipts for the vaccination.

 

He reminded the pilgrims that the Saudi authorities have declared that all pilgrims must be vaccinated against COVID-19 before being allowed to perform this year’s hajj exercise.

 

According to Alhaji Abubakar Babangida Tafida on  the vaccination itinerary, the intending pilgrims from Ganjuwa, Ningi and Warji will be vaccinated on Sunday April 4 at Ningi LG Secretariat while those from Darazo, Misau and Dambam will meet at Misau LG Secretariat on Monday 5 April to be vaccinated and pilgrims from Katagum LG will be vaccinated in Azare on April 6.

 

The itinerary also indicated that pilgrims from Jama’are and Itas Gadau will assembled at Jama’are LG Secretariat on April 6 while those from Zaki and Gamawa LGAs are to meet at Zaki LG Secretariat on  the 6th of April for the vaccination.

 

The itinerary also stated that intending pilgrims from Shira and Giade LGs are to be vaccinated on April 7 in Giade while those from Alkaleri and Kirfi are to assemble in Alkaleri on April 8 for the exercise,  pilgrims from Dass, T/Balewa and Bogoro will be vaccinated on Friday April 9 while the exercise will be rounded up with pilgrims from Toro LG who whose first dose will be administered on Saturday April 9 in Toro LG Secretariat.
