Yobe State Pilgrims Commission said it has suspended the ongoing Pilgrims enlightenment exercise until further notice.

Executive Chairman of the Commission Alhaji Bukar Kime (Aji Sudani of Damaturu) announced the suspension today while addressing Intending Pilgrims that came for enlightenment exercise at the Headquarters of the Commission in Damaturu.

Alhaji Bukar Kime said the suspension was due to the cancellation of Hajj 2021 for foreign pilgrims by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Alhaji Kime However urged the intending pilgrims to take the cancelation of the 2021 Hajj activities in good faith and asked them to wait for further directives from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON).

He further assured the pilgrims that their deposits are safe and that the Commission has concluded arrangements to refund them or roll over their monies to the 2022 Hajj exercise as the case may be.
