HAJJ 2022: Gombe first lady joins State’s first batch of pilgrims airlifted to Saudi Arabia

Gombe State first lady , Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya alongside the 505 1st batch of Gombe State pilgrims were airlifted on board MaxAir to Saudi Arabia, for the 2022 hajj operation.

 

Addressing the media shortly before boarding the plane, the governor’s wife, expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the pilgrims throughout the screening period and urged them to maintain same at the holy land in order to project a good image of Gombe State and by extension, become worthy ambassadors of the country.

 

“Today, Gombe State is widely known for being relatively peaceful and its hospitality makes it a safe haven to many. I therefore called on our esteemed pilgrims to rededicate their devotions to ALLAH in the holy land, by praying for his forgiveness and to restore peace and security in Nigeria, in order for us as a people, to be able to sustain the already existing peace and tranquility in the state

 

The Chairman of the Muslims Pilgrims Board, who is the emir of Dukku, Alhaji Haruna Abdulkadir Rashid II, said , so far so good, he gives glory to ALLAH for making them strong as a team ,committed and dedicated towards discharging their responsibilities against all odds, thereby appealing to the pilgrims to give the state , national and Saudi hajj officials the Maximum cooperation needed for a successful hajj operation .

 

Some of the pilgrims expressed content with the services rendered to them and thanked ALLAH for being part of this year’s pilgrimage, assuring to pray for the safe and unity of Gombe State and the Nigerian nation.

 

The pilgrims have arrived Madinatul Muauwara safely, signaling the beginning of their holy Journey.
