Hajj 2022: Kwara registers 1406 pilgrims, conducts Special prayers

Kwara State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board has organised a special prayers as parts of preparations towards successful conduct of the 2022 hajj operations.

 

The prayer session held at the Board premises in Ilorin was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr Muhammad Bashir Salihu.

 

In a brief sermon, Dr Muhammad Bashir Salihu, said that it was necessary for Muslims to always commit all their affairs in the hand of Allah in order to succeed in whatever they do.

 

He advised the intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to fear Allah, shun sinful acts and pray fervently for a hitch free exercise.

 

The board Chairman, Dr. AbdulKadir Sambaki explained that the prayer was organised to seek Allah’s guardian and guidance as they kick start activities of the pilgrimage to the holy land.

 

He commended Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazak for giving all the necessary supports to the board for smooth operations in the state and at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

Also, speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Ahmed maintained that with the special prayers, the board is now fully set to commence hajj 2022 activities.

 

Alhaji Ahmed assured the Kwara State Government and the intending pilgrims of the board’s determination to deliver better services throughout the exercise.

 

He said that the State Government had supported them with incentives to give efficient and effective services to the One Thousand, Four Hundred and Six pilgrims.

 

Correspondent Abdullah Ahmed reports that the prayer session was well attended by the top government officials, Islamic Scholars, intending pilgrims and their relatives as well as friends.
