HAJJ 2022: NAHCON ALLOCATES 2,404 SEATS FOR SOKOTO STATE– OFFICIAL

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated 2,404 Hajj Seats to Sokoto State for the 2022 Hajj exercise.

 

The State Chairman of Sokoto Pilgrim’s Welfare Agency (PWA), Alhaji Mukhtar Bello Maigona disclosed this during a meeting with Assistant Hajj Registration Officers and other staff of the agency in Sokoto.

 

Maigona stated that the meeting is part of the agency’s commitment toward successful Hajj operation and urged stakeholders on Hajj operation in the state to begin preparation for this year’s Hajj exercise.

 

The Chairman restated the agency’s position on 2020 and 2021 saying those who retrained their deposit with the agency will be given priority on a first come first serve basis. Thereafter, the sale of balance seats to the new intending pilgrims will commence as earlier directed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

 

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Agency, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Dange described the allocation of 2,404 seats for the 2022 hajj to the state by NAHCON as a welcome development and gave hints that the 2022 hajj fare deposit will be N2.5 million

 

The Permanent Secretary, therefore, solicited the support and cooperation of all stakeholders to record tremendous success in this year’s operation.
