HAJJ 2023 AIRLIFT: Niger Pilgrims’ Boss meet Minna Airport Officials

The Niger State Pilgrims welfare board has assured Intending #Pilgrims of the readiness of the state government in preparation for the 2023 Hajj exercise.

 

 

Executive Secretary, Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Makun Lapai, stated this during a courtesy call by the New Manager of the Minna International Airport Authority to his office

 

Makun Lapai who appreciated the visit commended the airport official for their tireless efforts in attending to the needs of the pilgrims’ board during Hajj operations.

Makun Lapai, who lamented the inability to use the Minna international airport for the 2022 Hajj airlift, saying “we don’t want the reoccurrence of last year’s Hajj ugly experience where our pilgrims almost missed the Hajj exercise”.

 

The Executive Secretary however admitted that aviation challenges are numerous but assured the visiting team that there will be a solution this time around.

 

” We’ve identified areas of need in terms of having a successful hajj operation by next year”.

 

“Next week we are visiting the airport for more inspection in preparation for the Hajj airlift“.

 

The New   Manager of the Minna international airport, Alhaji Liman Katamba Kutigi who was accompanied by the management staff of the airport, appreciated the long-standing mutual relationship between the two organizations.

 

Kutigi who commended the Niger State Pilgrims Board for successful 2022 hajj operations despite not being airlifted from Minna International airport, urged for early preparation by the board to avoid creating any obstacle that could generate any challenges before the commencement of Hajj operations.
