Hajj 2023: Bauchi Pilgrims Board Solicits Support Of Royal Fathers, Reminds Pilgrims Of N2.5 Million Deposit

Bauchi state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has sought the support and cooperation of the Royal highness on the Hajj exercise.

 

The Executive Secretary of the Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris who led the delegation made the plea in Bauchi and Dass emir palaces during a sensitization tour to  Six 6 Emirate Councils in Bauchi.

 

He said that the visit aimed to seek royal blessings and support and to also acquaint the Royal Highnesses with new development in the Hajj exercise considering their importance to the Community.

 

Imam Abdurrahman informed the emirs that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has fixed 28th February 2023 as the deadline to remit 50% of N2.5M of the total allocated Hajj slots to Bauchi state, emphasized that his Board is yet to meet the requirements of the NAHCON.

 

He acknowledged that most of our people in the rural areas are less informed or have no knowledge of the ongoing Hajj Deposit exercise.

 

Imam Abdurrahman used the forum to remind that all intending pilgrims are at liberty to deposit any amount from N1.5 Million to 2.5 Million Naira.

 

He, therefore, solicited the  Royal highnesses to intervene in the situation to enable Bauchi state to maintain the 3132 slots allocated by NAHCON this year.

 

In their separate remarks, His Royal Highness the Emir of Bauchi Dr Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu and His Royal Highness the Emir of Dass Alh. Othman Bilyaminu Usman commended the Bauchi Pilgrims Board for the initiative.

 

While Lamenting on the dateline by NAHCON, both of them promised to use their traditional and religious leaders to pass the information at the grassroots.
