Hajj 2023: Jigawa Pilgrims Board Organises Train-The-Trainer’s Programme

Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has organised a one-day train-the-trainer programme for facilitators to train the state’s intending pilgrims for the 2022 Hajj.

 

The Director Oprations of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo disclosed this to Radio Nigeria in Dutse, the state capital.

He said five facilitators were drawn for the exercise, and in turn train the intending pilgrims at designated centres across the state.

According to him, the gesture is to ensure proper training of the pilgrims on the basic tenets of Hajj.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo said, after the train-the-trainer program, the facilitators were expected to go back to their respective local government areas to step down the training.

He said, they were mandated to train prospective pilgrims on obligations, tenets and cardinal principles of the Hajj the exercise.

While commenting on supervision, the Director Operations pointed out that the board would supervise the exercise to ensure each and every prospective pilgrim participate in the exercise.

He explained that proper education of pilgrims would prepare them to conduct the Hajj in accordance with the teachings of Islam and be good ambassadors of the country.

Labbo therefore, advised the pilgrims to attend the training in view of its importance.

Some of the resource persons include Sheikhs Mahmud Yunusa, Yusha’u Dutse, Mubarak Abdulwahab Hassan, Isma’ila Basirka and Ustaz Zakariyya Kandi.

Radio Nigeria recalled that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON allocated 614 seats to Jigawa state for the 2022 Hajj.
