Hajj 2023: Jigawa Remits full payment to NAHCON, begins screening of intending pilgrims

Jigawa state pilgrims welfare board said it has remitted four billion naira to national hajj commission NAHCON as 100 percent payment of 2023 Hajj fares for the state intending pilgrims.

The Executive Secretary of the board Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse.

He explained that 1,625 hajj seats was allocated to the state and it was sold to intending pilgrims from across 27 local government areas of the state.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo said that, as part of the preparation to ensure hitch free Hajj exercise, a total of 135 instructors were sent to 27 local government areas to train the pilgrims on how to perform Hajj and other rules and regulations of the exercise.

While commenting on accommodation, the Executive Secretary said the board had secured a standard accomodations close to Holy Mosque in Makkah for the state pilgrims to perform their rituals exercise at esse.

Labbo added that, the board have formed health workers team who have already begin screening ,conducting various tests and administering vaccines to the intending pilgrims.

He said Azman Airline was designated for airlifting of the state pilgrims and they have already gone far in securing visa for the pilgrims.

Alhaji Umar therefore urged on the state intending pilgrims to continue to cooperate with the board for their welfare and successful Hajj exercise.
