Hajj 2023: Katsina begins pilgrims’ registration today, set N1.5 million as Hajj fare deposit

The Katsina state Pilgrims Welfare Board has today begins the collection of Hajj fare deposits from intending Pilgrims for the 2023 Hajj exercise.

 

The Executive Director of the Board, Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki said the commencement of collection of Hajj fare was sequel to the approval given by Executive Governor of the state Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari for the board to kick start the 2023 hajj preparations and registration and collection of deposits throughout the state.

Suleiman states that intending pilgrims are to pay N1.5 million as minimum deposit at the point of registration, and top up another N1. million to make it N2.5 million deposit by January ending. All payments are to be made through a certified bank draft payable to katsina state Pilgrims Welfare Board.

 

The registration exercise which will be strictly based on first come first serve will be conducted at the Seven Zonal offices of the board at katsina, Funtua, Malumfashi, Dutsinma, Kankia, Daura, Mani on first -come, first – serve basis.

 

He explained that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCION has directed State Pilgrims Welfare Board to begins the registration of intending Pilgrims for 2023 Hajj pending issuance of guidelines and slots allocations to states

 

The Executive Director urges intending Pilgrims to contact officially designated Zonal Pilgrims officers from the board for any transaction to avoid illicit activities.
