Hajj 2023: Minister of Endowments meets Qatari Hajj operators, harps on service delivery

The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs HE Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem met with a number of licensed Qatari Hajj campaign operators for the current Hajj season, within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to coordinate the efforts with the Hajj contractors and provide all the support and facilitation to make the 1444 AH Hajj season safe and exceptional by providing the best services to the State pilgrims, while preparing all means for pilgrims to perform Hajj in the smoothest and most correct manner.

 

The  minister indicated that during his meeting with last year’s pilgrims, he was briefed on their opinions and suggestions regarding the services provided by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs represented by the Department of Hajj and Umrah in coordination and cooperation with Qatari Hajj campaigns.

 

 

His Excellency also learned about the pilgrims’ experiences and what they had witnessed during their Hajj and their aspiration for the efforts to promote and enhance the services in support and facilitation of this year’s Hajj season.

 

 

During the meeting with the Hajj campaign operators, the Minister of Endowments was briefed on their suggestions to enhance the coordination with the Department of Hajj and Umrah during the registration period for those wanting to perform Hajj through the electronic website and finalize all administrative procedures related the State’s pilgrims easily.

 

His Excellency also learned about Hajj campaigns’ preparations for the current season, the preparedness and safety of Qatari pilgrims’ residency, their services in the holy sites, their efforts to provide the proper healthcare for Qatari pilgrims, and providing religious and administrative instructions, and preparing all means that facilitate the pilgrims of Qatar to perform the rituals.

 

 

HE Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem stressed the need for concerted efforts between the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs represented in the Department of Hajj and Umrah and the Qatari Hajj campaigns as they complete each other and their target is to serve pilgrims of the Holy Mosque. His Excellency directed to remove any obstacle that may face Qatari Hajj campaigns to allow them to provide the best services to the State pilgrims.

 

The minister pointed out that the Ministry exerts all possible efforts and harnesses all capabilities to support Qatari pilgrims in coordination with Hajj campaigns and relevant authorities to facilitate the procedures and help all Hajj applicants – citizens or residents – and provide them with all means of comfort and safety from the moment they take off from Qatar, during their stay in the holy sites, and until they return home safe after performing Hajj.

 

At the end of his meeting with Hajj campaign owners, the minister stressed the need for concerted efforts to make the 1444 AH Hajj season safe, fulfilling all required conditions.
