Hajj 2023: NAHCON allocates 5902 slots to Kano state

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated 5902 slots to Kano state for Hajj 2023 pilgrimage.

 

This was revealed on Saturday by the Executive Secretary of Kano Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Muhammad Abba Danbatta during an enlightenment programme organised by the agency for Hajj 2023 intending pilgrims from the state.

 

Alhaji Danbatta said already, about 4000 intending pilgrims have made deposit payments.

 

 

Danbatta, said the State Government has done enough in ensuring that the forthcoming Hajj operations is done without hitches.

 

 

He said even last year’s Hajj operation which witnessed serious problems saw the state performing well leading to receive of numerous awards especially by Independent Hajj Reporters.

 

 

He said the early payment of deposit by intending pilgrims “ shows true commitment to the agency’s programmes”.

 

 

Speaking during the program, the Deputy Commandant of Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Musa Sani Bakura, stated that Nigeria Recorded zero drugs related problem during last year’s Hajj Pilgrimage.

 

 

He said “we have not received any complaints from the Saudi Arabian authorities of Nigerians exporting drugs or been caught with drugs during the operations.”

 

 

The NDLEA Chief explained that for this year’s Hajj Pilgrimage, the agency have taken “strong measures to ensure that no one transports drugs to the Holy Land including those who export large scale Kola nuts which is also prohibited.”
