Hajj 2023: Nasarawa Begins Pilgrims’ Enlightenment February 5, commend Gov Sule for support

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State have been applauded for attaching more priority to the welfare of pilgrims in the state.

 

 

Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Mallam Idris Almakura gave the commendation during a critical meeting with Hajj Coordinators in Lafia.

 

 

He noted that despite little resources at the disposal of the government and economic challenges, the state government has never failed in providing necessary support to the board to improve welfare.

 

 

According to Mallam Almakura, the meeting was organized to intimate the management and coordinators of the board on the outcome of the pre-hajj meeting held in Saudi Arabia recently to tighten up in commencing early preparation for this year’s Hajj.

 

 

Almakura who doubles as the Chairman of the Forum of Executive Secretaries said NAHCON will soon announce the final fare for this year’s Hajj just as he reiterated that preparation for this year’s Hajj has already begun hence the need for the Hajj Coordinators to put more effort in discharging their responsibilities.

 

 

The State pilgrims’ boss warmed Hajj Coordinators against fraudulent acts, saying anybody found wanting will face the full wrath of the law.

 

 

During the meeting, Mallam Idris Almakura announced that the enlightenment of intending pilgrims will commence on the fifth of February, 2023 across the Thirteen local governments and Development areas and at the usual venues.
