Hajj 2023: Osun Begins Orientation, Vaccination of Intending Pilgrims May 6

The Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board said it will commence the weekend enlightenment and Vaccination exercise for Intending Pilgrims for this year’s Hajj.

The exercise will begin on Saturdays and Sundays 6th, 7th 13th and 14th of May 2023 at the Osun State Government Secretariat Central Mosque Abere by 9am.

The Administrative Secretary of the Board, Mr Bolaji Sanni, made this known today in his office adding that activities have been outlined to actualise the success of the operation.

The Secretary further added that final clearance will be distributed to qualified registered Intending Pilgrims as from Monday 1st till Friday 5th of May 2023 at the Board’s Office located within the Osun State Government Secretariat complex in the morning and that only Intending Pilgrims with the clearance will be allowed to participate in the programme.

According to him, the weekend enlightenment programme and Vaccination exercise are designed to enlighten Intending Pilgrims on the requirements for the Hajj rites as well as to ensure that they are fully prepared both spiritually and physically for the journey to the holy land as prescribed by the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the prophet (S.A.W).

 

“We hereby enjoin all our Intending Pilgrims to attend this enlightenment programme as a matter of urgent responsibility,” Bolaji added

 

The Amirul Hajj, Sheikh Dr. Olawale Morufu Isola at the meeting assured the Pilgrims of adequate welfare provision throughout the Hajj Operation.
