Hajj 2023: Plateau gets 1,984 slots, urge pilgrims to increase deposit to N2.5 million

InMuslim Pilgrims in Plateau state have been urged urged to top-up their earlier deposits to N2.5m to facilitate needed hajj services for the 2023 hajj exercise.

 

The executive secretary of the state pilgrims board, Barr. Awwal Abdullahi, said this Tuesday  in a  press release issued by the board information officer, Namu Sanusi Suleiman, in Jos.

 

“The Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, urges intending Pilgrims to top-up their initial hajj deposits to N2.5m, tentatively, in order to ease processing and documentation of hajj operations pending the final approval  by NAHCON,” Barr. Auwal said.

 

He added that the minimum of N2m will be accepted from new depositors, while priority could be given to those who could not preform the 2022 hajj.

New intending Pilgrims would be on first come first serve basis, in relation to this year’s 1,984 slots allocated to the state by NAHCON,” he said.
