Hajj 2023: Royal fathers to support Bauchi Pilgrims Board, laments low registration of pilgrims

His Royal Highness the Emir of Ningi has reiterated the commitment of his Emirate Councils to join the Board on an intensive awareness campaign and sensitization of 2023 intending depositors to ensure timely deposits.

 

His Royal Highness Dr Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya stated this when he received the Executive Secretary Bauchi Pilgrims Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris who led the advocacy team in his palace.

 

He promised to use District Heads, Traditional title holders in the rural areas and Imam to educate and enlighten people on the situation.

 

The Emir also commended the Board for making the good step to ensure success in registration and early collection of the Hajj deposit.

 

In continuation of the advocacy visit, the team also visited the Emir of Jamaare palace.

 

In his remarks, His Royal Highness the Emir of Jamaare Alhaji Nuhu Ahmad Wabi mni charged the Board to improve strategies for enlightening pilgrims on the social and spiritual aspects of Hajj.

 

He further advised the Board to make good use of its Modern Hajj camp to enlighten pilgrims, particularly those in the rural areas on the use of modern facilities right at home to avoid disappointment in Saudi Arabia.

 

Earlier, in his address, the Executive Secretary of the Board Imam Abdurrahman Idris expressed his concern over the low-level turnout of prospective hajj depositors across the State.

 

He acknowledged that the newly redesigned Naira policy has caused an obstacle to the smooth collection of Hajj deposits.

 

Imam Abdurrahman further expressed optimism that with the Emir’s blessing, wisdom and guidance his Board would meet the Target set out by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. NAHCON.
