The CEO of the Tawafa Company for African pilgrims to non-Arab countries, Badr Ali Bafakih, inaugurated the first phase of the “smart camp” project for the camps of non-Arab African pilgrims in Arafat and Mina.
The inauguration ceremony included the signing of several contracts and strategic partnerships with a number of specialized companies and institutions, where a contract was signed with Huawei International Company, which specializes in telecommunication network products and information technology, a leader in providing information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, and the Chinese Saudi Telecom Company for Telecom. Ltd., and several technical enterprises.
The signed agreements aim to invest modern technologies in addressing future challenges in the field of crowd management and linking camps with smart monitoring systems that reflect real-time indicators, to support decision-making and facilitate the performance of rituals for the pilgrims.
