Hajj 2024: Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh demands reduction in airfare
Form technical committee, Letter to state minister, Meeting with Saudi minister
The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) has demanded to reduce airfare and form a technical committee to ensure hassle-free Hajj program next year.
Regarding the issue, HAAB wrote a letter to the state minister of the civil aviation and tourism ministry on August 5.
Recently, a meeting was held between the Saudi Hajj and Umrah ministry and the Ministry of Religious Affairs when Minister of Hajj and Umrah for Saudi Arabia Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiah visited Bangladesh.
The meeting ended with both Dhaka and Riyadh pledging to reduce the Hajj package fare.
Current year, the Hajj air fare was fixed at Tk1,97,797.
