Hajj airlift: Katsina, Lagos Pilgrims set to depart Today

Intending pilgrims from Katsina, and Lagos States are set to depart to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj exercise today.

Officials from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the states have already started pre-departure screening of the Pilgrims at their various hajj transit camps.

 

The inaugural flight ceremony will take place in Katsina state where Max airline is expected to airlift over 450 pilgrims later today to mark the beginning of the airlift of 2019 hajj pilgrims from Nigeria.

NAHCON is yet to release the final figure of the number of pilgrims from Nigeria because it has earlier extended the deadline for registration of pilgrims to July 15.
