The Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON) is pleased to welcome and extend our warmest congratulations to Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi on his appointment as the new Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). This appointment marks a significant milestone in the regulation and administration of Hajj and Umrah operations in Nigeria.
We are aware that the newly appointed Chairman, brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in public sector management having served in various leadership roles in the public service who reached his pinnacle of service and retired as a celebrated federal permanent secretary. We believe that his leadership will further strengthen the Commission’s commitment to ensuring the smooth and successful pilgrimage of Nigerian Muslims to the holy land.
The appointment of a competent and dedicated individual like Mr. Arabi demonstrates the Federal government’s commitment to the development and growth of the Hajj and Umrah sector. AHUON applauds this decision, as it reflects the importance placed on ensuring the well-being and safety of Nigerian pilgrims.
AHUON is confident that under Mr. Arabi’s guidance, NAHCON will continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and openness, build on the successes achieved by the previous Management team. We look forward to working closely with the new Chairman in promoting the welfare and interests of our members, as well as the Nigerian pilgrims who embark on the sacred journey of Hajj and Umrah.
AHUON will like to express its gratitude to the immediate past management team of the commission led by the former Chairman/CEO Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan for their valuable contributions in management of Hajj and Umrah in Nigeria. Under their leadership, NAHCON achieved lots of milestones and advancements like proactive engagement with critical stakeholders like AHUON in decision making processes for successful facilitation of smooth Hajj and Umrah operations, an action which we look forward to the new management to build upon.
As an association representing the interests of Hajj and Umrah Tours operators in Nigeria, AHUON remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the regulatory efforts of NAHCON. We will continue to collaborate with the commission to enhance the overall experience of Nigerian pilgrims, including the provision of high-quality services, improved facilities, and streamlined processes.
