Hajj Cancellation: Nasarawa State Pilgrims Board Set To Refund Intending Pilgrims

The Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura held a meeting with management staff and local government Hajj coordinators in Lafia to work out the modalities for payment of refund to Hajj 2021 intending pilgrims.

 

This is contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Alhaji ABDULRAZAQ Muhammad and made available to newsmen.

 

According to the statement, the meeting was aimed at discussing with Hajj coordinators to outline effective modalities on how the refund will be made to prospective Pilgrims successfully.

 

During the meeting Almakura urges those who wish to apply for their refund to attach their deposit slips, Bank account number and a grantor for record purposes as no refund will be made in cash except for relatives of Pilgrims who passed away.

 

The statement added that those who decide to defer their Hajj fare shall be given more priority during the next Hajj, stressing that the refund will made in phases.

 

Mallam Almakura told the coordinators he will seek approval from the Governor of Nasarawa State Engineer Abdullahi Sule before the refund will be made.

 

Idris Almakura use the medium to appealed to all intending Pilgrims to remain calm and to take the cancellation of Hajj in good faith.
